'92-'96 XJ600 Seca II with Mikuni BDS26 Carbs
This is the XJ600 Seca II with Mikuni BDS26 carbs. These carbs are similar to the XVS650 carbs and have a few pitfalls that will not be covered well or at all in service manuals. It is very important these carbs do not leak internally due to being directly above the cylinders. Leaking will cause hudraulic lock-up and severly damage a engine. These bikes run great when the carbs are properly set-up. This only covers US models.
Note: Starting in '74 Yamaha started year coding bikes in the last letter used in the name. You may see this code on your bikes paperwork or in a parts list or catalog. I leave this off as it is redundant if you are showing the year anyway. There is a chart below to find your year code.
Below are a set of XJ600 Seca II (5DU 10) Mikuni BDS28 carbs.
The carbs all have the same internal tuning including California.
California just has a few extra hoses.
