'00-'01 ZX900E ZX9R Ninja Keihin Down-draft CVR40 Carbs
This is the fourth gen of the of the 900 Ninja series and is a slight redesign from the earlier years. One major change was the carbs that changed to a new KeiHin CVR40 down-draft carb that is totally different than all other years of the ZX9R. With jet kits and other mods that were available, these carbs could be in great need of being wrangled back into submission. When they work, they work well.
Pictured below is a set of '00-'01 ZX900E KeiHin G530 carbs (Not a rebuilt set). They can be interchanged on both years. The internal tuning is different on the California version. Also the California version (G538) comes equipped with fuel cut solenoids mounted to the float bowls. These solenoids are open by default and are a valve that cuts the main jet totally off from fuel when electronically closed.
