'80-'82 CX500 Models V-Twin KeiHin 34mm VB25 and VB28

All of the CX500 V-Twin carbs made from '78-'82 look similar, and they can be interchanged on all years. However, they are diverse in both design, settings, and tuning. You have to pay close attention to the specific version to correctly rebuild and the bike they are currently installed. They are found to be interchanged and very mixed-up so just replicating current parts installed, is a recipe for disaster.

The sets pictured are a '80 CX500D Deluxe (VB28AB) and a '80 CX500C Custom (VB25AB). These sets and all '80-'81 CX500's use the non-adjustable floats with matching float needles. The D models have the main fuel line mounting to the side of the #1 carb with a simple crossover to feed the #2 and the C model uses a brass crossover T due to each using a different gas tank. You can see the differences below. These carbs also now have a accellerator pump.
