'86-'87 VFR700/750F Interceptor V-Four KeiHin VDBA's, VDBB's and VDBC's
VFR750F and VFR700F/F2 Interceptor was made only in 1986 and '87 in the USA. This was a unique model that was the first Interceptor equipped with gear driven cams that made it one of the most rock solid Interceptors ever made. Typically you will find, in the US only, this model was reduced to a 700cc to bypass tarriffs on bikes 750cc and larger. This was NOT the case in other countries as the odd 700cc versions were made for the US market only. This model will not interchange with earlier 700 and 750 Interceptors made before '86.
Care should be taken in correct id of the carbs before aquiring replacement parts. Also care in installing parts in the front carbs compared to the rear carbs. Even factory manuals are vague on this issue and do not explain all front-to-rear differences including main jet emulsion tubes, slide springs, jet needles, and main jet sizes.
Below is a set of '86 VFR700F Interceptor (VDBABA) carbs. Both VFR750F and the VFR700F models look the same, but do not share the same internal tuning parts.
